Welcome to Scenic Brook! You probably already know that Scenic Brook is a fantastic, dynamic neighborhood here in the heart of Oak Hill. You can help make it even better by getting involved. Here’s some suggestions:
- Come to the holiday party! There’s a potluck style event every year, and it’s always a good time. 2016’s gathering will take place December 10.
- Come to the Easter Egg Hunt at Windmill Run Park! Every year Scenic Brook and Windmill Run co-sponsor an event a week or two before Easter that’s always great fun for kids and parents alike. This year’s event is April 8, check the posts for more information.
- Get to know your neighborhood! Our Scenic Brook website scenicbrook.org has some good information including maps, mission and the like. Scenic Brook has a lively presence on NextDoor. We also have a Facebook page where events and other info are posted.
- Join the Scenic Brook Neighborhood Association (SBNA)!
- Our SBNA is a voluntary association, and it’s been active since the early days of the neighborhood back in the ’70s. The SBNA meets on a monthly basis. Find out more information and a link to sign up via paypal here.
- Come to an SBNA board meeting to see what it’s all about.
- Attend a community input event for the future of Scenic Brook Park. Great fun and hard work alike await for adults and kids.
- NOTE: SBNA conducted a survey about the park and pool in fall 2016. Check out the results. Also check our projects list.
